The second mode on this domain: Command & Conquer: Generals – Zero Hour, played over
a private LAN that lives on this server. Nothing to install on the server; the matches run on
your PCs.
On a phone? Zero Hour needs a Windows PC — the browser version streams from a
local copy of the game, and a phone has none to give it.
Play Aitaroun in this browser instead.
This is not EA's old lobby. Zero Hour is peer-to-peer — every player's PC runs
the whole match, and they connect to each other directly. This network only makes everyone look
like they share a room, so LAN games work anywhere. Public games still happen on Generals Online.
Join a game.
Own the game. The Ultimate Collection on Steam or the EA App. No game files are hosted here.
Patch it. Run GenPatcher → Apply Fixes.
It also installs GenTool, which you need online.
Turn off antivirus real-time protection while it runs; it gets flagged.
Join the network. Install WireGuard,
import your personal .conf (ask us for one), then Activate. You should see a
10.8.0.x address and a rising handshake.
Play. In game: Multiplayer → Network → LAN (don't log in to anything).
One person creates a game, everyone joins. Empty lobby? Use Direct Connect to the
host's 10.8.0.x.
If it doesn't work.
Windows Features → Legacy Components → tick DirectPlay, then reboot.
In %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data\Options.ini
set IPAddress = 10.8.0.x (your own), save, and mark the file read-only.
Allow the game through Windows Firewall when it asks.
Everyone on the same version and the same mods, or the match desyncs.
